Final Reflection

Due to health and family issues, I was not able to attend the presentation showcase and I am sincerely apologetic about this. However, during the mock presentation process, I did notice commendable aspects of the presenting team.

One of the presenting teams that caught my eye was group 2 of Tutorial class 1. Explicit communication was noticeably improved from the first round of mock presentation. The information conveyed was clear, concise, and concrete. Hand gestures was appropriate and with a good control of their tone of voice. Sincerity was evident due to the perfectly executed three second eye contact. The hand gestures made the communication more effective and meaningful. Such implicit communication

The content of their training video on providing training for employees to better manage their emotions when faced with frustrated guest was engaging. The introduction of the 5 acronyms of “BLESS” was direct and would be easy for employees to recall.

All in all, the main reason group 2 impressed me was because of the balance of formality as well as entertainment factor, with their sincerity as a huge plus point. In the near future, I believe that their video would be able to put into good use with minor editing and higher definition.

The best takeaway for the module would be the details of presentation skills learnt and how all the different elements come together to produce an efficient presentation, to be able to capture audience attention.
